Leav's deployment for CitizenCon's merchandise store

Leav case study, reproduced as published by Fidget's operating team (the same team behind Leav); the numbers below are Leav-era, not Fidget benchmarks.
The challenge
Cloud Imperium Games' CitizenCon draws a large, global fanbase, and its merchandise store is both a community touchstone and a real revenue stream compressed into a short event window. As published, the organizers needed a system that could capture customer data, tie it into their existing global spending system, and hold up under high demand with no room for downtime, since any technical issue would hit both revenue and the event's reputation.
The solution
As an Adyen customer, CIG was referred to Leav for its experience delivering scalable, cost-effective checkout. Leav's LiveCart platform was selected specifically for its low latency, published at 17ms average, which let staff collaborate on shopping carts across tablets and mobile payment terminals in real time. The solution was built to scale with transaction volume without a drop in performance, and to work interoperably across device types on the floor.
- Real-time scalability: architecture built to handle high transaction volumes without degrading
- 17ms average latency: fast enough for multiple staff to collaborate on the same cart
- Cross-device flexibility: deployed across mobile payment terminals and tablets
- Compliant data capture: customer information tied to Star Citizen accounts at checkout, within relevant data protection rules
As published, the entire process from decision to final deployment took less than a week, against CitizenCon's fixed, non-negotiable event date. Leav also handled compliance with financial and legal regulations across the international event's regions, and provided support throughout.
The results
Over the two-day event, CIG nearly sold out its merchandise, generating what the published case study describes as hundreds of thousands of British pounds in payment volume, with no major technical issues reported.
The collaboration with Leav was key to the success of our CitizenCon 2954 merchandise store. Their platform not only delivered on every expectation but exceeded it by allowing us to engage with our customers in ways we hadn't previously thought possible.
