How La Vie en Rose cut checkout congestion with Scan & Go
April 8, 2025 · Fidget Team · 4 min read

Leav case study, reproduced as published by Fidget's operating team (the same team behind Leav); the numbers below are Leav-era, not Fidget benchmarks.
The challenge
La Vie en Rose is a Canadian lingerie and swimwear retailer with over 300 stores nationwide. As published, checkout congestion, particularly during holidays and sales, created real operational strain: long lines and traditional point-of-sale bottlenecks reduced customer satisfaction and limited revenue during the exact windows that mattered most. Staff spent more time processing simple transactions than on the value-added engagement that store leadership wanted to prioritize.
The solution
Leav's Scan & Go let customers scan items with their own phones and pay instantly, removing the traditional line entirely. It integrated with La Vie en Rose's existing point-of-sale infrastructure, required no additional hardware or space changes, and captured transaction data as part of normal checkout. The deployment landed ahead of the 2023 holiday rush, chosen over expanding physical register infrastructure, and store associates needed minimal training to use it.
The results
The published case study reports 89% customer satisfaction among Scan & Go users, and describes the approach as avoiding the cost of additional register installation. Beyond checkout speed, La Vie en Rose captures behavioral and transactional data with each Scan & Go purchase, which the published account frames as a foundation for personalization, loyalty, and inventory decisions going forward.
If employees can avoid simple transactions and focus on value-added tasks, it will lead to better customer service.
